Glossy Depravedteen N Kissing Ko 1 Depraved

Both political parties over the years failed to implement some form of assistance. Instead of trying to help they brain washed citizens about how immoral handouts are. Any decent person falling upon hard times would rather handouts than to be engaged in stealing, prostitution etc. For example, the man who stole the kitchen sink &was sentenced did it because he has an ailing mother to feed.Similar situation with these thieves when will a hero arise and do something for poor Jamaicans for a change

I have more bad news because this type of wantonness, immorality, decadence and debauchery is here to stay as long as the poor are denied assistance. Based on research countries which offer some form of social assistance experience less of these depravity behaviour from its citizens Yard Vibz you are so right about "anyone here ever hear a hungry pickny bawled?" Very few people understood me when I posted previous comments stated that this wide spread poverty is sanctioned by our JA government

Depravity is the order of the day in Jamaica!
Antonette W.7/13/2011
When people do not respect the living, they will not respect the dead. On a lighter note, I wonder if this proves that there is no such thing as duppy. After all, wey de duppy dem dey wen tief a desecrate dem grave and move off wid them headstone?

Seriously, this industry needs to be shut down.
China offers a great market for scrap metals and used papers(cardboard boxes)....
As long as this market is available this will continue in jamaica and expected to get worse....
They have to shut it down..
PL BOGLE7/13/2011
@Yard Vibz, You never fail to make me laugh! trust me with all this bad news laughter is a blessing.
@Richie L, I read your comment on another article, regarding to "peter phillips and portia simpson miller" Would it be fair play to say all Politician should retire for the interest of the country?? Look how bad things are in JA. Robbing the DEAD to make a living??..
Jaye Stone7/13/2011
In a society where there is such scant regard for the living, why are we shocked that there is little respect for the dead?
The society itself has become depraved, but we just can't see it..

This scrap metal business should be scrapped (pun intended)a long time ago.It could be seen that something like this would be inevitable. These so-called scrap metal dealers has proven they will stop at nothing to make money. They have scrapped factories, railroad lines etc. When caught and found guilty they should be fine 10 times the cost of their contraband and throw in prison for not less than 10 years.
Duque Molton7/13/2011
This scrap metal business is causing major problems in the country. They need to stop this madness. Is it coming to the point where we will have to us officers of the law to patrol cemeteries? These scrap metal dealers need to weed out the parasites or stop the trade..

Come on Mr. Observer, what's with this blockout of the option for blogs concerning the story that the X5 or X6 murder suspect is a US citizen? Afraid of the US or what? I mean the X5 X6 story has been the talk of the town with a lot of comments for each posted story. Your newspaper revelled in it, then this sudden cancellation of blogs because the local police found out that the alleged killer is a US citizen. Therefore hands off, blogs off?
john blake7/13/2011
This desperate scavenging business has to come to an end NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nicolas Henry7/13/2011
In Jamaica they rob rob and then kill jamaicans, then you bury your dead and they cannot even rest in peace. Omg what a country!!!
Yard Vibz7/13/2011
One wonders how this story will alter the perception of those who put their trust in the obeah man. I mean, in the wee hours of the morning, man & man deh ah grave yaad ah dig up duppy fi thief dem cargo, & nutten nuh duh dem...
Anyhow, who are these people that embark on this despicable journey? After all, this is not exactly an attractive craft, so except for profound desperation, there can't be any logical rationale to support same... BTW, has anyone here ever heard a hungry pickny bawled?
Richie L7/13/2011
First, wanton killing of men.
.
Second, wanton killing of women.
.
Third, wanton killing of the elderly
.
Fourth, wanton killing of children and babies.
Now, disturbing of the dead for monetary gain.
.
What next?
.
Will we now turn to cannibalism and bestiality to show how uncivilized we have become?
When will this depravity stop?
.
Richie

In much the same way as Jamaicans in the diaspora take pride in our sporting achievements, the country's natural beauty and warm hospitality bestowed upon individuals all of which add to the Jamaican economy we are gravely shamed and disgusted by the depravity exhibited by some in our society. The Government needs to nationalise this trade and impose the strongest penalties on the line of drug smuggling against all offenders.

I think the Ministers approach to this industry is the right one. If the industry complies these idiots will be apprehended shortly, if these people put the effort into mining to see if we have metals other than aluminum we would be far better off. It might be time to suspend business of scrap metal until a well regulated system is put in place. My heart goes out to all who had their loved ones final resting place disturbed.
wanda woeman7/13/2011
Why can't this industry be closed down until it is streamlined?
Why doesn't this country have the political will to do what is right?
People would be surprised to know how many homes are being broken into since the "cash for gold" trade. Sometimes the householders awake in the mornings knowing they were drugged during the night.. Of course the Police tell us that it is just our imagination.
Alvin L.7/13/2011
Why is it that whenever Jamaicans choose to become deviant that they often sink to the lowest level which can be achieved? It is a sad state of life when your dead are not allowed to rest in peace.
The people convicted of such crimes should have their faces posted on billboards for the entire Island to see and despise!
Derrick Allen7/13/2011
This 'industry' needs to be scrapped. It is too costly to the country. To destroy & sell the country's infrastructure for a fraction of the replacement cost, so a few selfish individuals can 'eat ah food', is not worth it. This business & cash 4 gold are selfish & destructive.
